I offer a number of workshops throughout the year. Small class sizes ensure you will get personal attention. Each workshop features 40 minutes of classroom time, 20-30 minutes of practice time outside followed 20 minutes back in the classroom to answer any further questions and discuss your practice experiences. They are held at the CoLab Hive in downtown Ithaca on the Commons.
Topics include: beginning and advanced exposure control, composition, camera settings, creative techniques, post-processing with Lightroom, macro photography, night photography, nature and landscapes, travel/street photography, portraiture, sports photography, and finding inspiration.
On-location workshops focus on a particular location and/or subject and are appropriate for both novice and intermediate photographers. They include both group instruction and private tutoring. Each tour varies regarding length of time and the number of locations. There is also a range of physical difficulty; some locations are easy access, while others are more adventurous and require hiking sometimes challenging terrain.
